Welcome to the gallery of the Ethical Fashion Show.
The fashion show was jointly organised by Marsden Youth and Community Group (MYAC) and Marsden and Slaithwaite Transition Towns (MASTT) to create an event where the young people of the area could put on a fashion show, made entirely of items donated by the public and local charity shops.
Please click on the different galleries above to see the photographs of the various different stages of the project.
Why Charity shops?
By buying charity shop clothing you are actively supporting local organisations who are working in your area to improve peopleÕs lives. Without realising it you are helping to raise funds for worthy causes.
This also reduces the amount of clothing thrown away, and at the same time it saves money whilst still giving you a wardrobe full of gorgeous outfits!
DonÕt forget that donating to charity shops can be just as beneficial to them as buying, so clear out your cupboards and drop by your nearest charity shop, who are always looking for quality clothing, accessories, books and bric-a-brac.
